SANSHU! is a blockchain-enabled Web3 community focused around finance. They came to us for a refresh of their look. Inspired by anime and classic video games, we blended modern and retro styles. The final deliverables included a kinetic explainer, fresh brand identity, and a complete stream package.

Newtro vibes

The team coined the term 'Newtro' to describe the blend of modern and retro vibes inspired by Japanese shows and video games, all brainstormed on Figma.

From brand identity to kinetic

The stream package was used as an R&D process to refine their brand identity before creating a 20-second video.

Kinetic explainer

The kinetic explainer was a blast to work on. We drew inspiration from vintage arcade games and synthwave imagery, crafting a visually engaging story. Each scene was meticulously planned and hand-animated, bringing a dynamic energy that perfectly captured the essence of SANSHU!

Brand identity

Creating SANSHU's brand identity was all about balancing old and new. We held brainstorming sessions on Figma to explore different looks, combining modern elements with a retro twist.
